Bedford Independent School District

  • Real World Solution for a School District.  Like most public school systems in the United States, Bedford County oblidged to meet or exceed its state mandated Standards of Learning to maintain accredidation and funding.  In order to help teachers prepare students for skills assessments, the school district decided to provide study aides - such as powerpoint presentations and on-demand video instruction on CDs and DVDs.

Penn State

  • Pennsylvania State University is a multi campus public university with more than 75,000 students and more than 22,000 faculty and staff.  Penn State utilizes its Information Technology Service (ITS) department to handle all of its needs for students, staff, and faculty.  Within the ITS is an in-plant printing and copy center used to publish digital information and distribute software to its students and faculty.  Through the in-plant printing and copy center, Penn State provides over 40,000 discs annually.  About half are computer utility programs and software packages, while the other half contains custom published digital content including course materials, reports or discs created for students, staff or faculty.

  • Real world video recording studio solution.  The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that helps people age 50 and older have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial and affordable to them and society as a whole.  As a part of these benefits, AARP creates more than 150 different types of DVDs for both internal and external audiences. Pix Fusion

  • Real world solution for personalized digital media developer. PixFusion LLC develops personalized media products for the consumer market, as well as advertising and promotional applications for various clients. The company uses patented technology to incorporate children’s faces and names into customized DVDs with some of their favorite animated characters, such as Spiderman, Dora the Explorer, Care Bears and other popular licensed properties. More than 500,000 of these personalized photo and audio DVDs have been sold to date under the Kideo brand name.

Joint Visual Information Services Distribution

  • Real world solution for on demand video training production and distribution.  The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) relies on The Joint Visual Information Services Distribution Activity (JVISDA) to reproduce and distribute current visual information and other multimedia training products to U.S. Forces worldwide.  JVISDA maintains a customer Web site containing the searchable listing and descriptions of thousands of audiovisual (AV) productions and interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) products used by the DOD.  These AV and IMI products include videotapes, DVDs and CDs used to support operational, training and internal information missions. Since its launch in 1997, the Web site has helped JVISDA process and distribute close to one million products worldwide.To streamline its DVD and CD order, production and shipping processes, JVISDA recently implemented a Rimage disc publishing system in conjunction with GTGI’s NetDisc product management and production software.

Speak the Word

  • Real world solution for an outreach ministry. Speak The Word Church International (STWCI) is a 2,500-member Christian congregation and global ministry that reaches all 50 U.S. States and 52 foreign countries through television programming. Each week, STWCI produces hundreds of CDs and DVDs for sale at their church bookstore, some of which are created and sold the same day. Once a year, at a major leadership conference, STWCI sells between 2,000 and 3,000 CDs and DVDs in a single week.   • Muzak is the world’s leading music, messaging and sound systems provider.  Headquartered in Fort Mill, SC, Muzak serves more than 400,000 client locations through 200 sales and service sites. 100 million people experience Muzak every day. The company delivers its services to some of the world’s biggest brands via satellite, on disc and through broadband connections.  Since the mid-1990s, Muzak has produced and distributed its music programs on CD and DVD, a production method that accounts for approximately 15 percent of its business today.

San Bernando High Tech Crime Unit

  • Since 1999, the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department High-Tech Crime Detail has supported law enforcement agencies throughout San Bernardino County (Calif.) by providing computer forensic services.  Any electronic device or storage medium containing data, audio or video associated with a criminal case is sent to the Department’s lab for forensic examination.  The Department’s team of detectives processes more than 350 cases per year, producing up to 60 DVDs of content per case for use during criminal trials and archiving.
